A Tribute to Robin Williams
Robin Williams Tributeby EmilyStepp
Why did we delay for more than a week the publishing of this remembrance? Because to properly reflect the impact of this loss on the millions of Robin Williams fans worldwide, we wanted to be sure to capture a true sense of the torrent of love for Robin pouring in from the community in the form of heartfelt portraits and other tribute art.
We chose the “best” pieces to accompany our own prose tribute, but the “best” kept being supplanted by
The Disney Food Blog and InformationThe Disney Food Blog and Information by WDWParksGal
Since I have signed up for the newsletter, The Disney Food Blog, I have found out SO much about the changes at WDW, as well as updates on old favorites (Disneyland and the Cruise Ships are covered as well).
:iconcolouriceeplz: Check out the Ice Pop Stand at the Japanese Pavilion. It looks like it is where the Kaki-Gori stand was. Each amply-sized pop (at the half it is perforated in order to be snapped in half for two people) is $2 and also comes in four-packs for a family. Am trying to find the ingredients since they are "all-natural fruit-flavored ice-pops" but doesn't say if there is added sugar or not.
As a member, feel free to submit to the gallery. If you find photographs of parks by any of your dA friends, feel free to submit those as well.
As of now there will be no limit to how many deviations you can submit (outside of the feature folder, which is two a month), but later on that MAY change.
We only accept photography, unless we have a contest stating otherwise.
Your deviations should focus on anything Disney that can go in the categories that are listed! Submissions of non-park specific characters will be rejected if there is no park theme present. No Screenshots passing for photographs!
The deviation must not have the mature content tag, contain nudity or excessive violence/gore. Mild violence and innuendo will be approved on a case by case basis (some villain types, for example). The deviation must not contain official Disney art or photographs. Anything made with screenshots, celebrity photos, coloring book pages, or any other type of art theft will not only be rejected, but will be reported to deviantART.
All photos must be of OFFICIAL Disney characters (no OC's, anime or games except for DISNEY GAMES).
All cosplay photos must be of decent quality.
NO risqué or adult cosplay NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
If you are unsure about something PLEASE ask first.
If you have any questions just leave the Group a comment or send a note. If you are approved as a member but find you cannot submit to the gallery or suggest a favorite, please let the group know immediately so we can check the permissions and resave if necessary.
Most of all, remember that "it all started with a Mouse". Oh and have FUN!!!
Gallery Descriptions Month - win PRIZES!!!!!Galleries month
This month at projecteducate a group of Community Volunteers have worked hard to create gallery description articles for almost every Gallery here on DeviantART. Throughout August we will be bringing you these articles covering the definitions of galleries from Photography to Photo-manipulation, Artisan Crafts to Digital Dolls. If you have any questions about where to submit your work here on DeviantART then this month will be your chance to ask. Just head over to projecteducate, send us a note or comment on one of the articles as and when they are posted.
A whole month of articles at projecteducate deserves a celebratory contest, so we're going to host one that will hopefully get your creative juices flowing! Since the aim of this month is to reduce mis-cats and help deviants re-classify their work correctly, we thought that a fitting them would be …
The "Miscat Superhero" Contest!

APN: Categories and FeaturesGalleries month
Today we're taking a look at the Animals, Plants & Nature (APN) photography categories and what goes in there. It won't be as detailed as I've done some years ago. You can see the recap here. We'll look at the gallery descriptions today and some features!
The next categories are available when you submit to Photography > Animals, Plants & Nature;
Photographs of plants and animals living underwater.
Photographs where birds are the primary subject.
Photographs of animals that have been domesticated (tamed to live with humans), as either pets or livestock, and which depend on humans for survival.
Flowers, Trees & Plants
Photographs of plant life, such as trees, flowers, shrubs and herbs.
Photographs of fungi, such as yeast, molds, lichens, mushrooms and toadstools.
Community Week - Get InvolvedThe Community Week has been a way that allows Deviants to get involved within the community to educate other deviants with their knowledge and give out tips and tricks, and interview outstanding deviants.
Next Community Week
September 29th - October 5th
How can I get involved?
All you need to do is note projecteducate with your article idea! We can make sure to avoid double-posts in the Community Week and work with you on your idea when another deviant had the same idea. As soon as we are happy with the article idea, you will receive an invite to Contributors to have access to the journal skin, guidelines, and week schedule.
